Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko (titled Gex: Deep Pocket Gecko on Game Boy Color) is the last in the trilogy of Gex video games. Unlike the last Gex game, passwords are not used for saving, so a memory expansion controller pak (Nintendo 64), or Memory Card (PlayStation) is the only option for saving. Like the previous title, the N64 version is lower resolution, featuring no FMV sequences and rated E (removing the adult content).
The Gex series in general did not make an appearance in any tournament up until IAS 8 and the original run of World Cup Speedruns 1. This was due to the fact that all I'm A Speedrunner tournaments prior did not have a theme that permitted them to be picked for a match.
